Our San Francisco Farm Bureau was formed on Feb 15, 2024 under the California Farm Bureau family. We are the only chapter in California to focus on growing food in urban settings!

- SF Marin Food Bank plays a vital role in addressing hunger and food insecurity though their food pantries and in-home deliveries

The goals of the San Francisco Farm Bureau are:
- Educate adults and youth about growing food.
- Advocate for urban farming.
- Support local commerce engaged in farm-to-fork and food-related industries.
- Foster agriculture innovation and promote San Francisco as an AgTech hub.
- Create and support youth farm programs that teach STEM skills in a farm setting
- Expand “Ag in the Classroom” to more schools.
- Promote urban tourism.
- Connect urban farms with U.S.D.A. resources for funding and technical assistance and work with the American Farm Bureau
- Federation, California Farm Bureau Federation, University of California Cooperative Extension amongst others.
